What is Blackstone Carp?
Simply put, Blackstone Carp is a collection of friends who enjoy fishing together. While Erik is the front man or face of the group, there is much that goes on behind the scenes to make everything function smoothly. Nate helps support the website while Liz brings her creative touch and artistry to the group. Simon shares his love of odd smelling baits and English style of fishing, while Ezra helps foster ideas toward new and improved boilies and flavors. It is the combined knowledge of each that makes Blackstone Carp so successful on the banks.
This website was developed to showcase our video and written blogs. It will also offer a variety of tutorials and resources. We firmly believe that by sharing our obsession, and trust us it is an obsession, we can help support and foster a future for carp and carp angling. That is our mission.

Who is Blackstone carp?
Founded in 2009, Blackstone Carp is a group of dedicated catch and release carp anglers. Though we have a varied skill level we all share the same passion and love of these great fish. We strive to catch, document and foster the fishery and help gain support and respect for the sport. While none of us are experts, we continue to grow, learn and love every minute of it.
Erik Grubb, founder and front man
Erik has been fishing for over 20 years, many of them exclusively for carp. While he enjoys a good sit down session he also loves to actively chase fish on the fly rod. Over the years he has caught countless fish, many under 19 pounds, many over 20 and a few above 30 pounds. He is co-founder of Blackstone Carp, creator of DAT Food Boilies, and editor of all the Blackstone Carp Presents: videos.
Nate Fischer, founder and Webmaster
Nate is newer to fishing but brings his technical skills to bear in creating and running Blackstonecarp.com. When not behind the computer he hits the banks to chase big carp on either spinning or fly rods. He also helps with creating many of the materials used during events, as well as works the camera when needed.
Elizabeth St.Germaine, Camera girl and Artistic director
Liz does not fish, she WILL not fish. We tried, trust us. She does however love being outdoors and runs the camera to get us all the great footage and pictures used on the site and for Blackstone Carp Presents:. She is also a great asset when designing T-shirts, posters, boards or anything else that requires a creative touch.
Ezra Parent, Volunteer
Ezra has taken to carp fishing like carp take to corn. Every outing with him is a fun adventure and I dare say he could fish side by side with most adults, and possibly out fish them! He has been a great help with all our official and unofficial events and we are happy to have him along.
Frank Rivelli, Member
Frank has been fishing with us for the past few years. His collection of catches continues to grow as does his amount of tackle and kit. He is one of the few that continues to fish all through the year, he can be found on the banks during 80 degree summer days or knee deep in snow.
